Privacy commitment
ProBank recognizes that customers expect a high level of privacy and confidentiality when it comes to financial affairs and personal information. The bank states that it is committed to providing the highest level possible, and that nonpublic personal information gathered in the normal course of business will be safeguarded and protected at all times.
Collection of customer information
ProBank obtains nonpublic personal information when a customer conducts a transaction, opens an account, applies for a loan, check card, or credit card. Information may come directly from customers, credit bureau agencies, and other credit references supplied to the bank.
- Information received on applications or forms, such as name, address, Social Security number, assets, and income.
- Information about transactions with the bank, such as account balance, payment history, parties to transactions, and credit card usage.
- Information from a consumer-reporting agency, such as creditworthiness and credit history.
Use and maintenance of information
Personal and financial information is used to identify persons involved in transactions, guard against unauthorized access, identify additional products or services of value, and help identify and avoid potential risks or losses to ProBank.
ProBank has procedures and controls intended to keep information accurate, current, and complete, and asks customers to notify the bank in writing of changes such as address or phone number.
Employee access and protection
Access to personal information is available only to employees with a legitimate need to know. Employees are trained to handle information confidentially and must adhere to the Code of Ethics as a requirement of employment. ProBank states it will make reasonable efforts to maintain security against unauthorized access to financial information through security procedures, employee training, and technology.
Disclosure restrictions
ProBank does not disclose information about customers or accounts outside of ProBank except for limited exceptions required to serve customer needs, administer business, or comply with law.
